And so appears yet another tag with an unrelated name, at least it is a pretty name anyway. I am doing this tag thanks to Bonnie, you can check out here blog here, so thanks Bonnie. And yes it was so long ago that I was tagged to do this that it everyone has probably forgotten, like I had until I saw the draft post sitting there getting lonely.

It is things like these rules that put me off tags, because I don't want to tag people if they don't want to do the tag, so if you are reading this you may consider yourself tagged if you so wish. I assume at least 11 people will read this. 

Questions. 

1. If you could change one thing about the past, what would it be? Time travel is complicated, and gets very messed up, and should not be messed with for your own good, and the rest of the worlds. I should know.

2. Which one of your five senses would you give up and live without if you had to? I was going to say smell, but if you lose that you almost lose taste as well, so maybe taste, that way I could eat things I don;t like and I wouldn't care.

3. What is your middle name? L. No actually it does exist, but I usually write is as L. and it is my middle name. 

4. What animal, starting with the first letter of your first name, do you like the most? Chooks, easy, since they are actually one of my favourite animals, in fact I have some eggs in the incubator at the moment and I'm hoping they will hatch so I can have fluffy chickens too!

5. Would you rather have free Wifi everywhere you go or free coffee everywhere you go? If you know me this would be obvious, but free books would be even better. 

6. How do you want to be remembered? As me. I don't really care that much, I guess being remembered is nice, but it won't really matter once I need remembering. Assuming this is after dying remembering. It is also nice when I people remember I exist now too. 

7. Would you rather have a cat with a dog's personality or a dog with a cat's personality? Neither. I am not a dog or cat person. I prefer horses, or chooks (or any poultry). 

8. If you could master one skill you don't currently possess, what would it be? Magic... please..... I honestly don't care what kind of magic, but anything created by Brandon Sanderson or Brent Weeks or Robert Jordan has got to be awesome. But I would even settle for a lesser magic...... realistically, some kind of martial art would be cool.

9. Would you rather fight one hundred duck sized horses or one horse sized duck? Ducks can be nasty, they may not have teeth but once they get hold of you they do not let go, and they will not run away. So duck sized horses sounds really cool. I would catch them and tame them and keep them as pets. 

10. Which are you more likely to fight for: love or money? This is a false dilemma, either or logical fallacy, there are so many other things/reasons you could be fighting for. Like to achieve some goal, because I believed in the reasons. To stay alive. Maybe I would not fight for either of the above. I don't know as I have never had to. 

11. What makes you cry? Late nights..... When my sisters and I stay up and talk and it gets so late that everything becomes funny and I turn into a ball of laughter and tears, and I just can't stop.

So a wisteria is a climbing shrub of the pea family, with hanging clusters of fragrant flowers, typically pale bluish-lilac in colour. Native to eastern Asia and North America. Ornamental varieties are widely grown on walls and pergolas. And it is a plant that has nothing to do with writing unless you count the fact that is smells heavenly and therefore the scent is quite inspiring. It's a pity I can't smell any now.

And to avoid any confusion I must confess that I don't have any photos of wisteria (well actually I may, but I don't remember when I took them and I take have over 1,000 images that I keep each month -don't ask how many I take- and funnily enough I can't find the photos), but I did have that shot of a beautiful smelling purple flowering native plant on hand, so it had to do. Now that the wondering is over I will thank Jane my lovely sister over at Maiden of the Misty Mountains who tagged me. Thanks, Jane.

Now to proceed to the questions she asked.

Questions:

1) What inspired the idea for your current WIP (work in progress), and how long have you had the idea? The Rooglewood Press writing competition.

2) What are you most looking forward to about this WIP? It being finished... well being finished means it is way better than it is now so that would be great. It needs to get a lot better.

3) Have you ever dreamed about your characters? No, I do dream a lot but not usually about my own characters, although I have used things from dreams to inspire parts of stories.

4) How do you go about naming your characters? I take ages, or else I write out a name and it is there. But every name must fit the character and have a meaning that goes with them, meanings are so important for me. My characters names are often short and unusual, I also tend to make a lot up by combining parts of two other names. 

5) Do you plan out your theme? Vaguely. For my current WIP it was easy because they asked that you would use some of or similar themes to the original Snow White story, that is also often what I do with my retellings. My other stories kind of find their theme as they go along.

6) Do you discover the MBTI thing of your characters? (if so, what are the types of your WIP protagonists?) Yes, for my longer works anyway. I never did them with this story but I do know what a few of my main characters are in my other story that I have put aside while working on the Snow White retelling.

7) Have you a favourite genre to write in? (or do you like switching it up randomly) Fantasy, but I dabble in other genre too, mostly fantasy though, logical magic and world building make a good story for me.

8) What is a big inspiration for you in writing? (a person, book, quote, scenery, ect.) Umm, life. I always have ideas. Someone will just say some word or sentence and I will be whisked off to some shadowy world that I then try and light up. Characters jump out and worlds unfold and I have to pack them all away before anyone notices. And I have to ignore most of them because I can only write one story at a time.

9) Are you competitive in your word counts, or more chill and relaxed? Depends. If there is no chance of me winning then no, I will simply not care. But if I decide I want to win them yes. I do like beating myself though and beating goals and things like that.

10) Do you like sharing small snippets of your work? (*hint hint* :P) No. I will share all or nothing. If you want to beta read something then sure but snippets are my preciousssssss.

As it turns out I was also tagged by Jasmine from Where My Wild Heart Grows, so thanks to her I have more questions to answer..... so here goes.

Le Questions come again:

1) What was the closest time ever your character came to perishing? Well my antagonists goal is simply to kill the MC so quite a few times, and then there was the time she did die..... but spoilers.

2) Was your character close to his/her parents or were they very distant? She does not remember anything about her parents as she was only 2 when they both died.

3) When was the last time your character felt scared? Like they couldn't do anything- helpless! Hmm, when she was poisoned and almost died.

4) What would your character do if they lost the ones they loved/cared for? Not know what to do. Mourn, be tempted to kill someone but probably not go through with it.

5) What are your stories stakes at this moment? The MCs life and then her friends lives then her families lives.

6)  Your Character's friends are all jumping off a dragon. Would your character do it too? There are no Dragons in Elsewhere so this question is an impossibility.

7) The villain has won. What become's of your character(s)? They are dead.

8) What does your character want? Instead, what does he/she actually NEED? She wants to be left alone, but needs to fulfill the bad guys quest, and other things that I also can not mention.  

9) Say your character has a pet, what would it be? Wow, a pet, chooks maybe, I honestly never thought of Niamah with pets. In 'Relinquished' Irene has a pet camel and also kinda has pet goats.  

10) You character needs something done imminently, but they are trapped in a cave. Wait, there is someone on the other side who can help your character! What would your character say to them? I have no idea, I am wondering how they can even speak with someone outside the cave, if they could I think they would ask the person on the outside to help them get out.

There we go, all done. Was I meant to do anything else? Probably. Oh yes, think of more questions and tag people. Well if you are reading this and wish to answer the same questions I did (in a post or in the comments), please do, if not well I don't see how any questions I think up would be much better. I would rather be off editing my story. So consider this post done, or don't but I do, and you can't change that fact.

Now, the questions:

Do you play any instruments?

Yes, it is called the Camera, and sounds like "Click" goes the shutter "Click, click, click," "hey every-one, look this way, quick" Which I hope you managed to sing to the tune of Click Go the Shears. If not go back and sing it again, if you don't know the tune, WHAT YOU HAVE GOT TO BE AMERICAN or at least not a true Aussie, so go look it up.

What is your favourite music genre?

As afore mentioned I don't count myself very knowledgeable about music, but I like worship music, hymns, and sound tracks, and though I don't listen to it much every time I do I like Christian rap, and of course good old Aussie songs that my parents knew when they were little, or other Aussie classics. 

Is there a music genre you absolutely cannot stand?

Contemporary mainstream anything, the lyrics.... just no.. do people even pay attention to what they are singing?

What is your favourite way to listen to music? (CD, vinyl, MP3, radio, etc)

I am not fussed on this one, but I really enjoy taking my sister to Band occasionally and listening to the town band practicing, though it can sometimes get overly loud in that closed room! But I also like to put music on on the computer and dance with my little sister, who is two (as long as no one else is watching). Otherwise I listen to it on my tablet usually with headphones so as not to disturb anyone.

What/who are your three favourite bands/singers?

Bel Thomson, she has such beautiful music and songs for personal worship. Our family also listens to a lot of Colin Buchanan. And since you mentioned bands, then I guess I am allowed to say the local Town Band, that my sister Jane is part of.

Jessica's question: What do you think is the purpose of music?

I think it should be for our enjoyment and to give glory to God with. I think it can also teach us things, because of how it connects with our soul at a deeper level, and sticks around in our minds, which is why lyrics are so important. 

Bonnie's question: What is one piece of music / song that has gotten you through a really tough time?

I don't know that I would ever say I had an overly long tough time in my life, but there are days, and on those days I find myself having to sing things like Matt Redman's 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord) or Bel Thomson's Bird's Eye View.

F, because I like to write it in an unintelligible way. In fact I normally forget how to write it other ways. But you can't really blame me that was how my handwriting book taught me to write it.

4. If you could create a word, what would it be, and what would it describe?
Well when I was little I did create an Xacorn... I don't remember how I spelled it, (probably not like that) but I wanted to know what you get when you have a horse with a horn and wings, pegacorns and unipegs are all well and good (okay they sounds silly) but we really need some more words that start with X that we can use.... Which I think is why I originally made up the name, because I had to draw something starting with x.

5. What are your three favorite punctuation marks?
This one : and this one D because together they make a grinning face :D and the question mark, why? because I always know when to use that one! 

6. What are your three favorite fonts?

Bonus question: What is your favourite girls name? What is your favourite boys name?
That I am sure is two questions and I have no answer because how can one have a favourite anything. Besides I like making up names and then I hide them on a secret board on Pinterest and don't let anyone see them in case they steel them... I am very protective of my names, they are precious things.

Except for number 1 which of course is Chauvelin from the Scarlet Pimpernel. Because he is my favourite. Seriously favourite villains...are they meant to be the most nice villains, the most villainiest villains, the best at being villains villains? The most world conquering villains, the villains who inspire most dread..... what does it mean favourite. I don't like most villains.... or maybe favourite could have something to do with laughing...

Chauvelin from The Scarlet Pimpernel... is just the coolest villain ever. I decided that when our town did a production of The Scarlet Pimpernel, I then went and read the book and still liked him. He is a very likable villain and he made me laugh

Erich Von Stalhein is the 'bad guy' or one of them in quite a few of the earlier Biggles books. And I always like books with him in them especially in Biggles Buries the Hatchet where he makes quite a turn around. He is also funny at times.

The Alligator He made me laugh so much when mummy read his parts in her Alligator voice in the book Before You Meet Prince Charming. I would also highly recommend that book for a lot more than the Alligator!

Mayor Prentiss IS NOT FUNNY, he is a scary complex villain. An amazingly written character from the Chaos Walking trilogy, which I would not necessarily recommend especially not to younger readers.

Harry and Mrav from Home Alone, the first one I don't even know if I have watched any of the others... I have almost died from laughing during that movie......... my family actually had to pause it because I could not breathe....

Hrathen from Brandon Sanderson's book Elantris, he was terrifying... And complex and that book was so good, better for older readers but I would highly recommend it.

Kylo Ren I don't even know why I like him, but have you ever seen those silly cartoon drawings of baby Kylo Ren and other Star Wars characters!

Levana from the Lunar Chronicles, she is also scary. And mysterious. And I have not read most of the books yet but I got the next one for my birthday so that is the next book on my to read list, Cress here I come!

And last of all: Captain Hook from Peter Pan.... sometimes I think my favourite villains are just the ones that make me laugh the most... And I am thinking of the book and the animated movie of Peter Pan as I have not seen any other one.

Eleven Facts About Myself:

• I like using my own pictures for things. So I googled Infinity Dreams Award trying to find if the original picture was any better. Which is the original though? As you can see I found lots.
• I have a pet peeve about photos that are not clear or are pixelated or even just almost pixelated. Hence I could not while staying in my right mind use the "Infinity Dreams Award" picture which is probably not the original anyway. SO I used six...aaannd made my own.
• Anyway I spent hours on Friday making the picture at the beginning of this post. And this is a perfect excuse to show it off because is it cool.
• I made the picture out of seven separate images

• I am currently wearing a dark purple cloak for no reason whatsoever and also a purple and white check shirt and jeans.
• I now have my own computer which is so convenient.
• The person in the photo is me and that me has almost published 500 posts on her blog! And want's ideas for what she should do for the 500th post. (I have a few draft posts which make it look like there are already 500)

• I can really walk on spiderwebs...... oh okay, but I can.... they are just squished and trampled in real life.
• I did not take any of the photos deliberately for the picture, I just decided I wanted to make one and looked back through my photos to see what I had.
• I am currently reading: The Roots of Endurance by John Piper
• I can sew shirts, well I have made two (tunic shirt things) one of which I am wearing in the photo. Obviously it would be difficult to wear two at the same time. (and now that is eleven or I can't count)

1. What is your biggest hobby?
Photography, it is a lot bigger than a hobby now and yet it still is that too.

2.Who is your biggest inspiration?
Ah...God and his creation, and his everything.

3. What is your favourite piece of music (can be either classical or modern)?
Whatever I want to listen to at the time... I do rather like the song "I Still Call Australia Home"  I am not musical in a lot of ways but I can sing I don't know how I do I just do and according to musical people I sounds really good, and they are the musical ones, so I believe them.

4. What is something you wish you knew more about?
A Time To Rise..... I want to know what happens but it is not published yet and so I wait. Other than that I just wish I could remember stuff I already know.

5. What is your favourite quote?
My favourite! I have no favourite, too many, but here are the ones I have added to my goodreads quotes place most recently.

6. What is something you look forward to doing each day?  
Eating breakfast .

7. What is your favourite way to get exercise?
Um....walking... playing badminton...neither of which I do often enough.

8. Describe yourself in three sentences:
I am thoughtful, and like to know things, but I am good a keeping secrets, probably because I forget them. I stand and watch and don't like large groups, but I really like talking in small groups or one on one; I am better at listening than talking unless you get me onto a subject that I am passionate about. If you wanted to know what I look like then use your eyes and look at the photo of me. back near the beginning of this post, or the one on the sidebar.

9. What has been your biggest life achievement so far?
Having my own photography business.

10. What is something you learned recently?
Sometimes things are not worth doing if they are not worth dying for. "If it is not worth dying for it is not worth doing" If you know it is right and biblical you should be doing it even if you may 'die' (or be heavily persecuted) for it. I was struck by this one because it has come up in my lectures on world view things, and on a video we watched and possibly some other place too.

11. Where is the most interesting place you have ever gone?
Well there was this time I walked on spiderwebs, and another when I went to Elsewhere and I found that I could change whatever I wanted, but I also wanted to to be believable so everything has to happen so that people would still have enough suspension of disbelief  (Elsewhere is the world my novel is set in). I don't know which was the most interesting, but recently I was just sitting on a lounge babysitting and I drifted off to a far place or cyborgs, princes and Luna queens. So I suppose I have been many kinds of interesting places.

Thanks to Anna from The 3 Musketeers I have been tagged for a tag without rules, The Gratitude Tag. It looks like quite a good tag, for we are commanded to give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.~1 Thessalonians 5:18 And when you are being thankful it is rather hard to be sad and depressed.  


1. What is your favorite quote or verse that reminds you to be grateful? 
I don't really have a favourite as such, but I first though of Philippians 4:6-7, 

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I like that verse because I am one to be anxious about things, and it is good for me to remember to pray about things and give thanks for what I have been blessed with. There is also Colossians 3:17, 

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Which is a very good reminder to give thanks all the time, even when it is hard in circumstances in which it would be much easier for you to grumble. 


2. Who are you grateful for?
A lot of people, I could answer this question forever. But I shall choose my parents, for they are the two people (other than God) who have most shaped my life. I am so grateful for all they have taught me about living in a biblical, God honoring way.

3. What life events are you grateful for?
Again a lot, but as for something specific.... years ago all my friends moved away, at the time I did not like that, who would? In hindsight I now see that having no friends for a while helped me in a lot of ways.  I grew closer to God, because I read my bible instead of playing with friends, and I realized that friends could always move away and are often only for parts of our lives, or at least we have different kinds of friendship with them at different stages in life. But God will always be there. 

I also grew closer to my sisters, who when I was younger were mostly just annoyances, and well little sisters. Now we three are sisters who are also best friends, I am so grateful for that! 

4. What is something you are grateful for but often times don’t think about?
You know I could answer almost anything to this question at the moment though I am going to say my eyes; for two reasons. I just finished reading 'The Cay' a book in which the main character is blind. and I have been preparing a B.R.I.G.H.T Lights lesson on contentment and for that I have been reading about Fanny Crosby, a hymn writer who was blind and for an activity, we are going to try doing some things (like drawing pictures) while being 'blind'. We already had a practice of that and I am so grateful that I have eyes!

5. What are you going to do to show people your gratitude towards them?
Assuming I am going to do something well... I like notes, and so I like to give people little notes. I generally do it in a fairly random way.... and I also like presents so that is another way I show.... well... gratitude, friendship or whatever. I think it can be rather cool to receive a gift or note for no reason in particular, so I often do that to others, mostly family members but friends as well.

I got tagged for the Lovely Blog Tag quite a while ago; Thanks lovely Sarah from Ink and Paper Tall Ship. But I decided I really had to do this post today because my blog will be looking very different in a few days! Still I am sure it will be lovely, well I know it will be. My blog has changed a lot since I started it back at the beginning of 2013!

Thanks to Cait from Paper Fury and Tracy of Adventure Awaits, I have been tagged for the Bedtime Book Tag. Double tagged! So I shall endeavour to answer the questions belonging to this tag as best I can. (by the way I don't necessarily recommend all the books I mention here) 

I have been nominated for a tag, well actually that was ages ago but I am finally getting around to doing it now. So thank you Katie for the tag. There almost always seem to be rules with these tags, so here are the ones that go with this one.

I did that tag last month but got tagged back by my lovely cousin Jessica..... obviously I should have changed the rule that allowed it. But I am endeavoring to answer her odd assortment of riddles.... well mostly number 1 and 3... they are decidedly illogical...... But I have answers... of a sort. I have also edited the previous riddle tag post and written in the answers to all the riddles on it.
