Little Bits of Beauty

By 16:29:00 , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

As the title says, here are a few little bits of beauty I have noticed and photographed in the last few weeks. Sometimes we can get so much from just stopping and enjoying the beautiful things around us instead of always rushing past to wherever we are going.

Of course I write this to myself just as much as anyone. This though is one good thing about photography, you have to stop and look around and sometimes even seek out the beautiful things God has here for us to enjoy. Look around and make sure you don't miss out the beautiful things he sends you each day, because you forget to look and really see.

What lovely things have happened in your life recently?
When did you last notice and thank God for the flowers he sends you?

    1. Thankyou, all of these photos were either accepted to Austockphoto as well, or are still in the area where photos wait before either being accepted or rejected, except for the last shot, but I really like that one and it was just amazing to see a rainbow like that, luckily we did not get rained on too much...

  2. It makes me think of the words of a Bel Thomson song: You bring majesty to the mundane. The Eternal in the Everyday. --It just so true. We see amazing and awesome things everyday, but we don't take the time to TRULY see them.

    1. Yes, exactly, you do have to look but those things are there, God has given us so much ever now.

    1. Thankyou! That last one is also my favourite, I have always wanted to get such a nice photo of a rainbow, usually we only see them when we are inside and there are so many trees around our house that you only ever get part of the rainbow but we could see both ends of this one.

    1. Ah, yes, but even in winter there are beautiful things too. Like the sparkle of frost, or if you have snow then snow.... not that I have had much experience with snow.

    1. Hi Emily, thanks for the comment, I use both a Canon 600D and a Canon 5D Mark II camera with a really good portraiture lens (canon lens EF 85mm 1: 1.8) and also a L series lens (24-105mm f/4.0L IS USM.) But the macro photos of the flowers on this post were just taken with a kit lens, ironically a zoom lens! Because that was what I had on the camera I had out at that time.

    1. Thanks Abigail, sometimes we just don't notice the things around us at all which is such a pity because there is so much that we can be thankful for.
