Giveaway: Five Hundred is a Large Number

By 07:00:00 , ,

Five hundred is a large number, at least as far as numbers of blog posts posted. A number like 500 requires a celebration. So on reaching 500 posts posted with this very post, I have made these seriously cute little bookmarks, because no reader can have enough bookmarks right? And I think that most of my followers are readers, and if not the make good gifts to give on! Especially when they are sparkly and some have owls attached to them.

This is open internationally, because it is just no fun when giveaways are not. Like last time there will be two winners, the one chosen (by the computer/rafflecopter) first, will receive their favourite bookmark; the second person chosen will receive either their favorite or second favourite bookmark and another, depending on whether both people have the same favourite.

And here are some photos which are a bit closer up.

I have had a lot of busy afternoons recently (and I shall be posting about some of them soon,) so I took all these photos indoors during the middle of the day. Which means they look a bit different to most of my outside ones!

I had such fun making these bookmarks, hope you enjoy the photos and of course two of you will get some of them! I can't wait to see who it is. Down at the very bottom of this post is the rafflecopter thing to enter with so enter away! It runs for a week before finishing.

And my sisters (should I just say Jane) you are allowed to enter this one and if you happen to get chosen then I shall pick a third winner.

  1. Ooh, these all look pretty cool! I'm not sure I could pick a favourite. I like the mermaid with the pearl on it...makes me think of Rain Pearls. (Was that deliberate?)

    1. Yes, the mermaid one was meant to be like Rain Pearls (A short story of mine) even if the tail is not quite right and of course it has no wings like my mermaids. If I absolutely had to pick a second favourite that one would probably be it.

    1. Well I bought all the bits, the owl charms, the bookmark parts and the chain links, part of the mermaid one is actually part of an earring I was given but I don't wear them. The five pearl like beads are part of an old necklace (my granny gave me a box of old broken jewelry that I use to make new stuff. Then it is really so easy to just link everything together. As long as you have two beading pliers.

  15. Beautiful bookmarks Clare! You have a lot of talent to make things like that! And congratulations on reaching 500 posts. That is a lot!
I like the small owl best and the bookmark with the five pearlesuqe beads second best.
I keep trying to read the title of the book you used for these pictures but I just can't quite make it out. Whatever it is, it's a pretty copy. :)

    1. The books are just some of my 'pretty books' that I have for no other reason than they are pretty, I just went and read the title it is; The Advancement of Learning! I had a feeling it was a strange one. The blue book was Lorna Doone.
