My 400th Post Giveaway

By 08:00:00 , , , ,

Well This is my 400th post... as the title clearly states and it is also a giveaway, as giveaways are cool. I will be giving away one of these five necklaces that I have made. I figure that whichever one the winner chooses can be posted in a normal sized envelope, so this is open to international participants as well as people from Australia. Hopefully you realized before the previous sentence that I come from Australia and not somewhere else. In case you did not, I hereby state: I am Australian through and through, and proud of it!

So follows the photos of my metal, chain, wire, marble, and bead creations, otherwise known as necklaces.

This one does hang like this sometimes.... but it is notoriously difficult to untangle...

a Rafflecopter giveaway

If any of you read my sister, Jane's blog you may have known we spent last week at the beach. So why have I had no photos from it? I took a lot. But I really do have a good reason. I did my first wedding photo shoot the weekend before and am still going through (almost two thousand) and editing the hundreds of photos, I have not touched the hundreds I took on holidays yet, but they shall come. So shall a few of the wedding but after I have got the photos to my clients.... oh that word clients... it sounds so serious but I don't know what else to say.... so clients it is.

  2. I like the first one best. I don't really have the patience to make them myself...especially after a few failed attempts.

  4. I used to do beading, but nothing ever came out particularly elegant... they looked like beads on thread, oddly enough. XD

    1. I often found that which I think is why I now like to use chain and beads and other things now, though I have made a few nice things with just beads and thread.

    1. Yes I made all those necklaces and a heap more, my problem is I often can't bear to part with any of them and can only manage to give a few away as gifts or I have to make another similar one for myself. I made the ones pictured particularly for this giveaway the last one is similar to another of mine but as of yet I have no others like the rest though I will probably make another like the one in the first photo :D

Paper beads are super fun, I got a gloss that makes then hard and shiny. It works really great, and they look really nice! :D

  9. I love the first one!! The fourth and fifth one are beautiful too :-) You're talented!! Yes, I've tried making jewlery before.... but I'm not very artistic. I have a question.. where do you get the chains to make the necklaces? Do you make bracelets or rings too?

    1. I was actually really lucky with the chains. I found heaps of new ones in little bags in a box at an Op shop (second hand shop) I assume they were given by some cheep jewelry shop that had closed down. They all had these ugly pendants and some of the clasps did not work but I just replaced clasps with new ones I bought from a craft shop. I do very occasionally make bracelets.
