Cover Reveal: A Wish Made Of Glass

By 14:00:00 , , ,

I have always wanted to do a cover reveal. And I am so glad to be part of this one. "A Wish Made Of Glass" is the novella I did beta reading for. So when I had a chance to take part in the cover reveal, well you should have seen the smile on my face when I got the email!

First I shall give you a little glimps at the sort of story it is, here is the blurb off the back cover. (I also got to beta read that)

"Deep in a forest glade, the fey folk dance with Isidore, a young human child. Their kinship is the very fabric of her childhood. When her mother dies and her world darkens with sorrow, Isidore finds her belief in the fey folk wavering.

The love of her new step-sister, Blessing, proves an unexpected gift in her time of need. Yet even as their friendship blooms, Isidore begins to see that Blessing is everything she herself has always wanted to be, but is not. Jealousy grips Isidore as she watches this beautiful new sister steal away all she holds dear.

Driven to desperation, Isidore turns to the fey folk once more. She has only one wish to claim from them, one chance to make things right. But she must tread carefully. For wishes, like hearts, are easily broken. And obtaining the one thing she desires could mean destroying the one thing she truly needs."

A Wish Made Of Glass is a fairy tale and could be called a retelling of Cinderella, but, it is really, really, different.

*Massive drum roll*

Wait for it

Wait for it

And here is the cover of "A Wish Made Of Glass" by Ashlee Willis

The book does not yet have an official release date. But for all Americans it will be some time in Summer 2015 which for us in Australia calculates to be this Winter! Which is rather good, as for those of us in Australia Summer 2015 is already done and dusted. Therefor it would be impossible for A Wish Made Of Glass to be released then, unless someone has a time machine of course! (and if you do please tell me)

If you want to know more about this book read it when it comes out and the cover design, I may post a review of it at some time, though I would have to be careful what I say as some things will have been changed since I read it. But Ashlee will be doing an interview with the cover designer on her blog soon. On that note here are a lot of social media links that you can find Ashlee on.

This is a picture of Ashlee, apparently,
but I have never seen her so we will just
have to to trust her on that.

Ashlee Willis is the author of fantasy for young adults. She lives in the heart of Missouri (which is apparently somewhere in America) with her husband and young son. While most of her days are balanced between writing, reading and being a stay-at-home mom, she also finds time to enjoy forest rambles, photography, and playing the piano.

A Wish Made Of Glass is Ashlee's second book. I read and reviewed her first one "The Word Changers" when/before it came out. I also own a hard copy now too, and it is such a beautiful book inside and out. You can read my review here, (yes both links go to the same place). The cover of the second edition (of The Word Changers) is even nicer than the first. And as for A Wish Made Of Glass, I think the cover really suits the story and it also could be a scene from it. Though I never remember it mentioning what colour Isidore's cloak was... it could have though.

  2. Also, I don't know if you do tags, but I just tagged you for a favorite screen characters tag on my blog!

    1. Thanks for tagging me. I do do tags, sometimes, I don't know if I shall do this one though. I really don't know if I could think of 10 favourite screen characters... I may, but I don't actually watch any TV and a lot less movies than most people, I prefer books. But if It were book characters I could probably give you my 100 favourite.... But if I remember and have time I shall try think of characters in movies I like :D

  3. Cool looking cover. I really want to read it now!
