The Candy Cane
The Candy Cane
The candy cane is the shape,
Of a shepherd’s crook
Because the shepherds were the first,
The angels told to look
At the Christ, God made man,
Who came to save everyone
Who repents of their sins
And believes in God’s Son.
Red is like our hearts of sin,
Ourselves we cannot save
But that can be washed to white when we ask,
Because Jesus his life gave.
I wrote this little poem to go on the back of some cards for the RACK thing we were doing. RACK stands for Random Acts of Christmas Kindness. At our last B.R.I.G.H.T. Lights meeting (young ladies bible study thing) we made up little bags, with a candy cane, some lollies and a card with the poem on it. Then on Saturday we went to the mall and placed the packages on random cars or handed them to some random people. All of us had fun and quite a few giggles.

Aww, that's such a nice thing to do. XD I mean, obviously. Since it's Random acts of kindness...BUT STILL. How nice! And your poem is lovely. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks :D It was so fun to do, giving can really bless the giver as well as the receiver.
