Ranger's Apprentice Prequel

If you did not know already I will enlighten you on a fact: I really like John Flanagan's writing and have read all his Rangers Apprentice and Brotherband series... He is the only author our family buys new books from as soon as they come out... or before.... If you have not read any of them, well you should.

 I have been watching goodreads and other places for months. Finally we got the synopsis for the next Ranger's Apprentice book, a Prequel to the others! Here is said synopsis;



"When Halt and Crowley discover that the ambitious Morgarath has been infiltrating the Rangers in order to corrupt the corps, the young Rangers travel north to Gorlan, seeking a royal warrant to stop Morgarath before it is too late. By weakening the Rangers, the most powerful force in support of the king, Morgarath plans to steal the throne. Yet when Halt and Crowley arrive in Gorlan, they discover just how close Morgarath's scheme is to taking root. Prince Duncan has already been taken prisoner and an imposter installed in his place. All the while, Morgarath has been earning trust and admiration from the Council of Barons while he secretly assembles a powerful force of his own. If the young Rangers are to prevent the coup from succeeding, they will need to prove their mettle in battles the like of which neither has ever faced."


But no cover reveal.... so I wait .... and wait....... Then I found something, a cover for The Tournament at Gorlan! The american cover....... SO if you are American you can be happy.

And so the waiting continues......


There is still no Australian cover, unless of course they have decided to make them the same.... but there is now a first chapter (or pages or something) of  The Tournament at Gorlan, which you can read here. Halt is my favourite character from this series... he is so dismal and grumpy... but I do like him. So this is to keep you all on the alert that an Australian cover could appear any time ( I hope).... and I can't wait for the book to come out!!!!!! one day... one day soon...

Sorry for all that craziness about Rangers Apprentice and Brotherband,  but seriously you should read these books they are so humorous, exciting and also great stories.  

I have had this post in drafts for months....... but have decided to go ahead and post it. Now the cover can come out.... now that I have posted this.... oh well if it makes it hurry up....

    I found The Tournament at Gorlan before it was named, that was sometime early March. I still have a Draft Post on this but I'm waiting 'til the Australian cover comes out. I estimate that'll be around the middle of July, because that's when the Brotherband book 5 cover did.

    I'm really looking forward to reading this!

    I honestly thought that you had somehow gotten your hands on a copy of the whole book when I first saw the photo. Now I'm not sure whether to be relieved or sad.

    I ABSOLUTELY LOVE RANGERS APPRENTICE!! I grew up reading them and omg I'm the same. My brother and I used to be absolutely in the store the second the latest one was out. xD And we took up back-yard-archery and everything (omg, we lost so many arrows into the corn paddock) I'M SO SO EXCITED FOR HALT AND CROWLEY'S BOOK. SQUEEEE!!
