2016 Already
Happy new year everyone! Or at least all those in my up to date country of Australia. You Americans seem to lag behind somewhat, so happy new years eve to you all over there. And for your information this photo was taken a few minutes after midnight at the beginning of 2016.

Happy New Year! Timezones are funny things, aren't they? I keep forgetting about them and doing silly things like wishing people Christmas when it's only Christmas eve for them.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you do for New Year's Eve. We celebrated by ice creams by the lake and then going to bed. Today though we're starting to repaint or house! We really go all out with the celebrating.
Yes timezones are! Our pastors family has a traditional open house night on new years eve every year. So we went to that (as did a few other families from our church) and played a lot of games of Mafia (card game) and let off some sparkler bombs which are a lot of sparklers shoved into a tube that don't last long but they spray sparks high in the air. Oh and there was lots of nice food and talking too.
DeleteWhat a neat picture Clare! It looks like you are already enjoying 2016! I still have 28 minutes to go before it's 2016 here...what interesting things these time differences do! Someone in Australia could have been born on the same date as I was, even a few hours "later" and actually have been born a day before me! :)
ReplyDeleteYes we are! Time differences can do funny things sometimes, they get particularly interesting when you are traveling, not that I have done much of that but anyway.
