Being Beautiful

By 11:41:00 ,

All girls want to look beautiful and I don't think that there is anything wrong with that. Though if it is only the outside beauty you care about I would say it is wrong. Outside looks are all well and good but they do not last. I know you have probably heard that said so many times already, but I think we need to remind ourselves of the things we know occasionally. Remember it is the inside beauty that counts.

1 Peter 3:4
All this goes for guys too. Handsome is as handsome does. Who you really are on the inside is what matters, for anyone.

Speak beautiful words-The words of encouragement, words spoken in kindness and love are what makes you beautiful. They don't even need to be spoken in a particularly beautiful or elegant way For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:34 What comes out of our mouth shows who we really are. Our words show where our heart is.

Look to our Lord-If our eyes are looking towards our hope in heaven and the return of our saviour they will shine with his light. If they look deep into the light of his word they will shine and make you beautiful.  The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light. Matthew 6:22 The joy you feel in the lord should show.

Smile-If we keep a smile on our face that is a sure way to look nice and maybe touch someone we know, or even don't know, without us even realizing. Smiling makes one feel happy and happiness from a smile should radiate thorough you.

Work-Keep your hands busy. Work for God's kingdom and work for your family, work in the place God has you now. Hold up your hands in praise. Hold them down helping your littler siblings or others with things they need and the things they don't need to. Those dirty, work hardened hands are the truly beautiful ones. What we do with out time shows who we are, be willing to help.

Walk straight-Keep you feet on the straight and narrow path. If you are doing just that you are on your way to becoming truly beautiful.

1 Peter 3:4
But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
